Covid is still with us. As of this summer there are no real restrictions in bed space. Masks are not required in albergues, but you will still see many people with one on on the streets, in stores, etc.. If you test positive you need to wear a mask, but you are not really restricted in movement. As a courtesy, you will want to isolate yourself from others by staying in a private room and not coughing and sneezing in a bunk room with others. In Spain you need a mask on any transportation (cab, bus, train). Test kits are available at pharmacies at a low cost. Wearing a good fitting mask until you test negative will help keep it from spreading.
