Ponferrada - Santiago during Christmas 2015 info PLEASE

Hello all,

With limited time off work (20th dec- 3rd Jan) I would love to try and fit in some of the Camino over Christmas, from what I have read on this forum already and given my time scale, the Ponferrada - Santiago route seem the best fit. Agree or disagree?

I am a bit worried about places to stay during this time, seeing as it is Christmas after all. Will there be enough available beds at this time of the year?

All tips and hints in relation to all aspect of the camino would be greatly appreciated. I will be traveling from Ireland, so if anybody has any experience of this, your help would be greatly appreciated.
