Hi I'm Ed a tartan pilgrim

This is my first attempt at speaking on the message board.
I'm not new to the camino having done it twice.
2004 from Saint-Jean (35days)
2005 from Le Puy (79days)

I chose the camino because I was looking for something difficult and challenging but would also include some spiritual aspect. I was not disappointed.
I imagined the most difficult parts would be the walking (of course) and not speaking either French or Spanish, how would I manage?

Well, I managed fine and would encourage anyone tempted to give it a go. You meet some nice people and it can be rewarding.
The camino also has a mystic affect drawing me back, I thought that I'd had enough after 950 miles last year, after all what more is there to be gained, but I have succumbed and leave for Le Puy in April 2006 to experience it all again, walking the path ahead, undisturbed but for the song of a skylark and the sound of your own feet.

If I can be of help please ask.

Buen Camino

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Welcome to the forum Ed.

What you are saying regarding the "being drawn back to the camino" is something that I hear a lot.

Buen camino and welcome back to Santiago!

Hello Ed

Hello Ed,

I'm planning to do the Camino leaving this April from Le Puy. I'm a bit worried about the weather in April. I don't mind walking in the rain but I would like to avoid having to face a snow storm.

Any advice would be appreciated as to what to expect.

Thanks,

Solange

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
