Hello,
I will be arriving in Santiago this Thursday. I plan on staying in Santiago for a couple of days then continue to Finesterre. Need suggesting on getting back to Santiago. A Camino friend is currently in Santiago and said all the buses are booked. I don’t want to pay 100 euros for a taxi. Any suggestions are appreciated. The name of the bus company would be appreciated as well.
Regards
Mario

Monbus certainly has lots of space open on different buses. I took a random look for next week 30th of May.

There seems to be rumours going round that buses from Finisterre are fully booked for weeks ahead. This is not true . Bus I returned om
n 2+ days ago had plenty of seats available .

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Gerard, can I ask where you stayed in Santiago please
I always stay in the Albergue San Lazaro, in my opinion one of the best on the Camino. I've stayed in other excellent places also: Linares Rooms; Albergue SCQ (superb imho) and Seminario Minor. The San Lazaro doesn't accept reservations so it's a good idea to be there before 1 pm when the hospitalero starts to register. It's still uncrowded and they have a lot of space, but it's only a matter of time before the wonders of the place are more well-known, and the hordes descend. So far the 2.5 km distance from the Cathedral saves it from being over-run ....

Thank you for getting back to me. Our flight doesn’t get into Santiago until 4.30 pm so provisionally booked the Albergue Turistico la Credencial as we are going in July (high season) & want to be sure of a place to stay. I will definitely keep San Lazaro in mind for when we finish back in Santiago making sure we are back for 1pm. Tks a mill for the info. Will have a look at the other places you mentioned too
