female travelling solo !

This is a question no doubt frequently asked, am new to this and have not asked it for myself and as I ponder the adventure I need to know !

I am planning to travel alone [trust that I will not be 'alone' for a lot of the time] but do have concerns regard safety and a woman finding herself alone on open roads or paths on part of this journey.

Would welcome advise from those of you who have opinions on this .

Thank You !

Hiking alone - Norte!

I hiked the Camino Frances in September of 2006 - 32 days. I never saw nor heard of a problem with any women solo hiking and I met many. I plan to hike the northern route this September. Fewer pilgrims for sure, but I shall be alone tenting most of the time. I can only guess but you are just as safe out there as you are living alone in any city. Perhaps more. Put your apprehensions aside and just do it. Neil in Chapel Hill.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
