As @J Willhaus says you can return to the same place you took a cab and walk from there if you want a Compostela. If a Compostela is not important to you then the only rules are your own.

No rooms in Bruma tonight. Anywhere. Is it cheating to take a cab 10k away to get a place to stay?
Your references? I mean, contact details for all accommodation? Sorry, it is a bit late, but just see your message now. I was on Camino Ingles and arrived in Saniago this past Sunday. There was a fire at Hotel Canaima, Bruma last Thursday. I was prebooked at the Pension across the street but there were tons of people who had nowhere to stay. I believe it was caused by a gas fire in the kitchen, no injuries, but the hotel is closed.

The Hotel Canaima must have reopened accoring to the search I just did. Black smoke and flames pouring out the top of the multi level building. I saw the video of a local who had videotaped the fire.
