    There is one direct train from Madrid daily. Others will connect and transfer at Ourense. You can also fly into Santiago and take a bus either direct (one daily) or connect in Lugo yo Sarria. Monbus is the bus company.

    Last winter, no issues, but otherwise 2021, 2022, 2023 problems with all all airlines. Cancelled flights, etc. Air travel isn't as fun as when I was a kid in the 60's and 70's.

    The bus may be cheaper. Buses in Spain are pretty comfortable. If you are starting to walk the next morning, it might be nicer to get in earlier.

    The train goes to Ourense a d then switch to Santiago. The bus will be cheaper and likely quicker.

    I have always found the Monbus service reliable and pleasant. They serve most of this area and all the small towns on the CF.

    Cab drivers in these smaller towns are often individuals who own their cab or whose family owns the cab with family members driving at different shifts. You will also see taxi signs with a phone number all along the Camino.

    Or, you can do what I do and go somewhere in town to have it printed. They used to print tickets at Pilgrim House, I believe. Technology is great until it isn't. Call me a Luddite, but I prefer paper.

    Tickets will be available about a month or so out. As @jcat says, the schedules don't change too dramatically so pick a day next week to get the approximately times.
