    The Camino Frances is roughly on the same latitude as the border between Canada and the US. In April you may actually encounter snow.

    Depending on the Rx, many are available OTC or simply by presenting your script to a pharmacist in Spain. BTW, they are generally less expensive than they are in the US.

    It happens. I zipped off the lower portion of my hiking pants at a stop for coffee one morning, then walked away without them. An hour or so later someone passed me and asked if I realized what I had done. They did me no favor by leaving them right where I had left them.

    Is that the one just left of the main road? I stayed there once and enjoyed the stay in the town because it was less crowded than Leon and there were several nice restaurant options. I think I remember the albergue had a nicely equipped kitchen as well.

    From my experience they are aromatic pretty much year round. I am sure some of the Aussies can give more details but I when I lived in Sydney during the summer when they would oozed sap and if there was a heat wave they would spontaneously combust and create bush fires.

    Definitely do not PARK your backpack on a chair that another patron might be able to use. Sitting at a table with others is quite customary on the Camino, so please leave other seats at your table open.
