    plantar fasciitis - with 7 weeks to go

    Some people have great success using the Strassburg sock. With 7 weeks to go, I'd try pretty much anything. I make sure to stretch my calves, both the soleus and the gastrocnemius and i never get out of bed without putting something on my feet to cushion them. Good luck!

    Directions

    In some smaller villages along the Portguese Coastal Route, we had locals point us back to the camino - even when we deliberately exploring somewhere else. Their kindness was wonderful and appreciated.

    Good point - I originated in Amsterdam so had to go through security. Much easier and faster if you are transferring from another flight. Nonetheless - keep those fingers crossed! 😄

    I flew feom Amsterdam to Montreal on KLM last week. Schipol was everything one has heard lately. It took 2 1/2 hours to get through security and the gate for the flight changed five times. On a positive note, every staff I encountered was very polite and hard working.

    Gregory Zulu 40L as carry on.

    Hi. I recently flew KLM from Montreal to Amsterdam/Porto with a Gregory Jade 38 l bag. (Yes, it's a women's pack but useful for comparison.) No problem fitting it into the overhead bins and I was never questioned about the size. Good luck!

    My small group of four arrives in Porto on May 2 and will stay for a few days before beginning our walk. I look forward to seeing the beautiful buildings with the azulejos tiles there and along the way.
