Not at all. I walk all my Caminos and local Tasmania walks in shorts no matter the season. I do take leggings for night wear in winter or a light weight dress in summer. Enjoy VDLP it’s a lovely walk
I am wearing Hoka speedgoats on the Camino Portuguese absolutely love them did 1400kms last year. Best shoesI have ever had the worst shoes I’ve had are new balance. I would take them back there is a fault.
If I have been charged I haven’t noticed it as my €20 SIM card with heaps of data always lasts the month easily . I have not tried to cut off the call quickly but mostly friends know I am overseas and call me on WhatsApp or messenger which are both free.
I always buy a Spanish SIM card from Movistar or Vodafone. Before inserting the SIM card I divert my Australian number to the new Spanish number so I therefore get any phone calls on my Australian number. The Spanish sim costs about 20€ per month.
I sent a medium size suitcase to Ivar from San Sebastián in May this year through the post office. I used the instructions provided by Ivar. Went without a hitch and cost 28€.
My husband and I walked Rut del Mar in June this year and as previously said it has only been recently recognised. While Sara walked the route there are many different ways you can walk and as you guessed the infrastructure is not as complete as othe tracks I have walked. However their are plent...
I am currently on Dos Faros after doing Norte. Norte was busier then it has been in other times I walked there however I tried France and for me it was unbearable. Again that is only how I like to walk, I personally would not walk Frances but again that is subjective. Enjoy whichever you choose...
Norte is not 70% road walking if you choose the coastal paths. But trail runners on Norte and Primitivo are definitely my choice. It is not the rugged and wild tracks I encounter in SW Tasmania. Comfort is the best option.
I am walking the Norte at the moment and have just arrived in Bolivar . Albergue s are open but everything is full including hotels, Casa Rural etc if you haven’t booked there is no rooms/ beds available .
