    Help getting lodging past Sarria

    Help getting lodging past Sarria

Some people who started in SJPdP or even farther back want to slow down in the last 100 km in order to savor the experience which they know will be over all too soon. "Powering through" connotes something negative that must be endured rather than something to be enjoyed. I prefer to find a way...

Bag transport companies on the Camino - a list

Yes. You can use Correos, the Spanish post office to send the bag either to be held at the post office or to Casa Ivar. https://www.elcaminoconcorreos.com/en/transfer-luggage https://casaivar.com/luggage-storage-in-santiago-de-compostela/

Albergue with privacy curtain (and towel)

I actually looked at the pictures of all the albergues in Fisterra listed on Gronze and didn't see any beds with curtains. Hostel Oceanus Finisterre looks like it has built in bunks, but no curtains.

    Albergue in Calzado del Coto

I found out that I could send a WhatsApp message to the albergue, and iness asduted that the bar is open all day. However, since the weather has cooled down I may try to go a little farther to Bercianos Real del Camino. Buy if that's too far I'm happy that I can sleep and eat in Calzado del Coto.

Sorry if this is a dumb question - Single vs. double rooms

You can often get a lower price - they will say "double room for single use" or similar. When there are two beds I make sure to leave one undisturbed when I have received this discount.

    Albergue in Calzado del Coto

Has anyone stayed at the donativo Albergue San Roque in Calzado del Coto? I'm planning to stay there tomorrow (Sunday), and my only concern is dinner. I'm currently in Calzadilla de la Cueza where there is no grocery store, and I may not pass an open grocery store on my way tomorrow. According...

Shortest section between Camino del Norte and Primitivo.

You can do these stages described in Gronze. You basically drop down to Oviedo from Villaviciosa as if you were going to do the Primitivo, then walk from Oviedo to Avilés. https://www.gronze.com/camino-norte

Many of the Camino routes are also GR routes. The same is true for some trails along the coast.
