E biking on Camino Frances in May 2024
I Willl start biking from SJPD on 9.may with Ebike. I have a list of bike friendly albergues is there somebody who have experience with charging batery in such albergue. Do i need afdition 220v extension pover cabel. I will rent ebike in Bicigrino.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The rental company will give you the cables to charge the battery. All you need is to plug and charge the battery. Same as a mobile phone.

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2
If used conservatively, the bike battery will last all day. I usually arrive at my destination with 75% charge remaining.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Does anyone know if albergues charge a fee for the charging?
You may have seen this thread already. If not, please do your best to ignore the more negative comments and focus on the positive from the OP and others!

Thread 'E-bike charging on the camino - Contributing to cost' https://www.caminodesantiago.me/com...ing-on-the-camino-contributing-to-cost.73593/

It appears from this and comments that I have heard elsewhere that some Albergues do not charge, whilst others will, or are at least thinking about doing so.

The clear suggestion from the OP and others is that it would be nice to at least offer a donation, which is very much in keeping with the spirit of the Camino.

Hope to do st Jean de port to finisterre in September 24 on bike. To buy a bike in Ireland and transport or buy in France. Any thoughts welcomed
Is there a dedicated guide for cyclists that suggests alternatives to the rocky/steep parts of the trail? I found a link to a 2018 one on another thread, but it is no longer available.
