Left Saint Jean this morning at 7am. Got to Roncesvalles just before 1:30. Weather was clear and beautiful!
I didn't pre book, and was able to get a bed. I did hear they were all full by 4pm though.
Very happy with my first day on the Camino!
Did you go the way of Napoleon?

Hi SF Hiker,
Wow, that's amazing, are you a daily hiker?
My husband and I are scheduled to hike the Same route on May 1st. My question to you is which route did you take? I heard the Napoleon route was closed due to snow. Many thx

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

I took Nepoleon. It's open but the few days before I started there was heavy rain and visibility was nothing! I've met several people that went over the day before me and they say it was terrible!
