A ferretería (hardware store) should have a coil. You can also check one of the Asian Bazaar type stores.

I think you're wrong about the RAE's stance on actor. Actor is m, actriz is f,. actores is plural m/mixed/unspecified , actrices is plural f. This follows the same rules as similar spanish gendered noun. E.g. chico, chica, chicos and chicas...
