I agree that the signage could be better, although the irony and comedic value was not lost on me having navigated 500 miles only to get lost in the last mile🤣

All of my trips have been as a solo female traveler, but I have met some very nice ladies of all ages to walk with on various sections. The more you travel, the more comfortable you will be. My husband is very supportive of my Camino walking trips.
I wear a single ear bud. It allows me to switch my attention from the podcast I'm likely listening to, to the sounds of the Camino. If a conversation is offered, the ear bud comes out.
Not for everyone, but it works for me.
