“A few days” meaning how many? If we know the total length of your walking time, it’s much easier to give advice. In general, I recommend an uninterrupted walk, simply walking without bus/train transport. if reaching Santiago is important to you...

While having started both times in St.Jean i made very intense friendships in Leon, Foncebadon, La Faba and even Fisterra. So i guess i'd say don't worry to much about that.

Not a problem. I joined the Frances route at Astorga last year, for only 3 days, crossing between routes. Met loads of lovely people. Shared meals, walked together etc etc. I even spotted a Forum member, that I had never met in person...
