My wife and I stayed at the Twin Pines in September 2022. We found the Dutch owner to be very friendly and helpful. He cooked a lovely dinner for the 8 of us staying. Our room was very spacious and comfortable.

Hey there! I wanted to chat about my experience on the 2017 Camino Frances. I'm pretty average physically, maybe a tad overweight, did some training (could've done more), and could've lightened my backpack a bit.

It took me 45 days without walking to recover when I got back to my country and they considered I was really lucky. It could have been a lot worse.
That reminds me of the newest REI backpacking product,
"Dehydrated water" , no weight and no space taken, just add
a bit of hydrogen and some oxygen and whala , water!
Just had a look at the properties of methane. Less dense than air and therefore another possible lifting gas. On routes like the Primitivo where there is frequent access to fabada asturiana and sidra natural it might be a useful alternative...
